The Wilson family first planted their vineyard at Polish Hill River in 1974 and are now certainly one of the finest growers of Clare Valley Riesling. This Watervale Riesling hails from an old block (35 years old) on red ‘terra rosa’ ironstone soils on limestone contributes fragrance.
A wonderful vintage producing a classic Clare Riesling with lovely fragrance and tropical fruit flavours and great refreshing finish .. And it’s a bargain!
From a band of limestone which runs along the range to the east of the Watervale township comes this highly aromatic wine. The Watervale riesling displays grassy herbaceous notes which lift from the glass. Delicate lime flavours fill out a crisp and clean palate. Pure summer – or anytime! refreshment.
