Hamelin Bay hails from Karridale in Margaret River’s south, widely regarded by local winemakers as the premium site for fine whites and supremely elegant reds due to its cooler, fresher climate. The Drake-Brockman family planted this beautiful vineyard back in 1992 and hard work in the vineyard and winery have paid off … trophys and accolades galore, including the coveted 5 star winery rating from James Halliday.
We’ve secured the last stocks of two of their fine wines and are thrilled to offer them to you at more than half the retail price in a special end of vintage clearance when you buy two cases of the Hamelin Bay Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2012 or Hamelin Bay Rampant Red Blend 2011.
Hamelin Bay Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2012 RRP $26 Our End of Vintage Special Price is only $12.50 a bottle when you buy a straight dozen. That’s $150 a case!
Hamelin Bay excels with this zesty blend (51% Semillon and 49% Sauvignon Blanc) … a huge hit over summer – such great life and lemongrass zing thanks to the Semillon component. This very classy effort is a bargain!
92 points James Halliday Australian Wine Companion
Hamelin Bay Rampant Red 2011 RRP $23 Our End of Vintage Special Dozen Price is only $14.99 a bottle when you buy it with another Hamelin Bay dozen.
This fine medium to full bodied red blend of 75% Shiraz, 14% Cabernet, 11% Merlot (matured in French oak) from Margaret River goes down too easily. Rich flavours of dark fruits, cherries, tobacco leaf and spice with lush fruit and more-ish fine grained tannins. 93 points and Top 100 Wines for 2014 by James Halliday

Falesco Sangiovese 2010 hailing from Umbria (South of Tuscany) will win you over with it’s richer and darker expression of sangiovese and its end of vintage price! This medium to full bodied Sangiovese cries out for food … brimming with black fruit and expressive aromas of ripe black cherries, blackberries and plums. Plenty of density and concentration of fruit with firm tannins. Last remaining cases of this vintage at this very special price.
Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, June 2011 “… It is a great value. “
Newly released 2012 vintage has the goods thanks to another great season in Burgundy from this highly respected producer. The 2012 harvest will be remembered for three things: the outstanding quality produced, the tragically low yields and the marked increase in prices across the region. Love the purity, freshness, depth and energy of this Bourgogne. (This is possibly even more refined than the brilliant 2010). It is precise with beautifully ripe supple tannins. Vive La France! Stock up because sadly Burgundy prices will continue to rise as the $Aus is predicted to weaken even further!
