Description
Rocky Gully Wines hail from the award winning Frankland Estate in Frankland River, the coolest and most isolated wine-growing region in Western Australia. Warm days, cool nights (maritime influenced by the proximity to the Great Southern Ocean – means milder summers and winters) optimum ripening conditions, sustainable organic practices and a pristine pollution free environment are all contributing factors to the fine wines it produces. Frankland Estate in 2010 were certified organic. They call the Rocky Gully wines their “second generation of Frankland Estate” and these are more than just a mere second label … same pristine quality of fruit and uncompromising quality at a bargain price.
“…It’s one of the best entry-level Rieslings I have encountered from anywhere, at a better price than all of them.” Phillip White, Drinkster blog
We love the bright lime and green apple zestiness that bursts from the glass, with a refreshing acidity and spicy chalkiness that is oh so pristine clean and linear! .. Outstanding value for money and pure enjoyment from an exceptional vintage for riesling in 2017. Serious pedigree here no doubt helped along by fruit from Netley Road vineyard plated in the 1960s that now goes into this wine This wine is proof that Frankland River have produced something far from a mere “entry level” wine – it is made with the same care and attention as their high end rieslings. Do not miss out on this quality bargain!

90 points, Toni Paterson MW, The Real Review “This is a highly aromatic and expressive wine. The palate is pure, bright and flavoursome, with ripe grapefruit and sweet lemon flavours. It has perfect weight and pleasing length. It’s a stylish wine at an accessible price. Terrific value. Highly recommended.”
