Chatillon is Ed Peter‘s (owner of Australia’s Yarra Yering) project in the French Alps. Vines up to 40 years of age grown in Chautagne area of Savoie close to Lac de Bourget (formerly known as “Chatillon”) south east of Annecy in the French Alps. The label depicts the castle Chateau de Chatillon (goes back to 1125 has been refurbished into a residence) situated on the property.
Organic viticultural practices (uncertified), 100% estate grown fruit, handpicking and hands off winemaking practices in the winery: wild yeasts, some solids in ferments. No oak maturation
100% Estate grown Gamay grapes, Vin de Savoie AOC. Mouthwatering salmon colour, aromatic Rosé … lovely juicy red fruits and stone fruit with pristine alpine acidity.
