“This range from Francois Egly is one of the most impressive I tasted I always look forward to drinking the wines of Egly Ouriet and I can’t recommend these Champagnes highly enough.” Antonio Galloni, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
“Few producers can equal Francois Egly in skill and experience and larger houses cannot hope to emulate the cultivation norms.” Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve. The World ‘s Greatest Wines.

Vintages: 2012 (60%), 2011 (20%) and 2010 (20%).
One of the greatest rosé wines of Champagne and a wine of haunting finesse. The blend is 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay with 60% coming from the great 2012 vintage and 40% vin de réserve (split almost equally between 2011 and 2010). Then there is the 5% of Egly’s Côteaux Champenois Rouge (the finest red wine of the AOC, in our opinion) that gives the wine its colour and a great deal of character to boot. Dosage is a negligible 3 g/L. The fruit is from 100% Grand Cru vines, grown by one of the most meticulous vignerons of the region. Unbelievably fine, perfumed and ‘Pinot’-fruited, this is something truly special.
“The NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru is a serious wine. The Brut Rosé starts as the same wine as the Brut Tradition, and then sees about 2-3% still red wine, which, along with a very low dosage of 2 grams per liter, take the wine into a dimension of brightness, tension and focus, with little of the creaminess found in the Tradition. The white pepper, cranberry, rose petal and chalk notes are finely sketched in a Champagne endowed with remarkable purity and translucence. Disgorged December 2017. Dosage is 2 grams per liter.” 92 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, July 2018
“Rumbling power with delicate finesse, this is a rose of medium salmon hue, bursting with the exuberance and beguiling transparency of Ambonnay pinot noir. Fragrant rosebuds and wild strawberries open into glorious depth of black cherry fruits of exacting ripeness, cherry kernel, fig and mixed spice. Very fresh and focussed for its age, with a universe of complexity lingering very long, precise and lively amidst fine chalk mineral texture.” 96 points, Tyson Stelzer, The Champagne Guide 2015-2016
