Bianca Vigna Prosecco DOC Brut NV
SPECIAL BUY 6 OR MORE “..this is Italian prosecco at its best..”
This is up there with the finest prosecco for quality and value we have tasted!
Bianca Vigna was founded by Elena and Enrico Moschetta in 2004 when two families with the same passion for quality wines and good food joined together: the Moschetta’s (wine’s producers in San Gallo since 1903) and the Cuzziol’s (agro food merchants since 1920).
Bianca Vigna is situated in the heart of the Prosecco area which has been recently nominated as a UNESCO heritage site. It manages 12 ha of vineyards located in 3 different areas: Conegliano, Pieve di Soligo and Felettano close to Valdobbiadene. Each vineyard contributes its own unique character, structure and minerality to the finished wines.
Fruit is sourced from vines in San Pietro di Feletto and Soligo, where the vines are planted in clay/chalky soils. Following the hand harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and left to settle prior to a carefully controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats. Re-fermentation is via the Charmat method in stainless steel tanks (closed under pressure) at programmed temperatures and with selected yeasts for a minimum of 60 days. The dosage is 12 gms/L with a natural acidity of 7 gms/L = dry!
100% Glera or Prosecco grapes. Fragrance of apple and white nectarine, mouthwatering fresh apple and pear on the palate, fine and lean with racy acids and a wonderful creamy finish. Brilliant as an aperitivo with antipasti fresh asparagus frittata, grilled octopus and Prosciutto Crudo with fresh figs. 11% alc
2 Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso Vini d’Italia, Italy’s most influential wine publication, every year for past 3 years.
91 points Suzie Barrie MW Decanter Magazine “Full-flavoured for Prosecco and packed with classic notes of honeysuckle, ripe pear and white peach. The mousse is delicate and frothy, and there’s a welcome touch of sweetness in this pretty wine.”
Ralph Kyte-Powell “Pale and lightly foaming, this is Italian prosecco at its best. Pear and custardy smells make a friendly introduction to a light, smoothly appetising palate. Mellow, warm-weather sipping”
