Domaine Christian Moreau wines are made by one of the oldest and most respected families in Chablis. Fabien is now the sixth generation winemaker and heads up this small but remarkable estate. In a short time (established only in 2002) it has become one of the leading producers of consistently outstanding Chablis. With almost 50% of their production from distinguished Grand Crus sites its no wonder leading Burgundian authority Allen Meadows of Burghound.com names them in the top 3 Chablis producers. Their wines are mouth-filling, vivacious, fresh and complex with a wonderful mineral intensity with just a touch of oak.

100% Chardonnay from 47 year-old vines in Les Pargues, adjacent to the Vaillons Premier Cru. 100% stainless steel with 10 months on fine lees. This AC Chablis is quite extraordinary - in fact the best I have ever seen ! Gorgeously pure, balanced and racy wine. Zingy lemon and grapefruit characters with beautiful minerality which opens out into more tropical passionfruit notes. Perfect drinking now but will cellar well for 5-10 years. RRP $56
