Bannockburn Chardonnay 2008

Is this Australia's finest Chardonnay?
Cannot add much to the glowing reviews below except to say Decant this profoundly complex and yet ultra fine chardonnay or cellar for a couple of years.

“Bright straw-green; a remarkable wine that has spent two years on lees in a mix of big and small French oak and stainless steel, with one-third going through mlf; still intensely focused and brightly flavoured, with great length; deserves a screwcap or, at least, Diam, for it will quite certainly outlive its closure. .” 96 points. James Halliday.

“Bannockburn chardonnay is becoming more and more refined – and, most likely, more and more ageworthy. Great rush of flavour and tang through the finish. Refreshing and exciting. This comes after a seductive, cedary, nectarine-like mid palate. Though of course, back at the start, its alive with (white) peachy, leesy, spicy scent. I loved this wine.
