This riesling hails from Orange which is certainly an up and coming wine region. Beautifully fragrant nose of citrus and mineral aromas, with good intensity of fruit with some bracing freshness. Listed by Huon Hooke as his Bargain of the Week in Sydney Morning Herald. Delicious with pan fried whiting.

Hamelin Bay Rampant White 05 (RRP $20)

Tasted this wine half a dozen times in the last month and each time it tastes so unbelievably good that we needed to share some around….thanks to the 50 % semillon in this blend this wine has backbone, zest & life. A zippy blend of Semillon 50% sauvignon blanc 15% and chardonnay 34% to round things out). Delightful tropical Margaret River white. Trophy & Gold Medal Margaret River wine show.
