Experienced winemaker David Hook has worked everywhere from Tyrrells to Lakes Folly and in France, Spain.

08 was a difficult vintage in the Hunter so David Hook supplemented this Shiraz (72% Hunter) with 20% Mudgee and 5% McLaren Vale shiraz. The remainder is viognier.

Campbell Mattinson from The Wine Front says: "..It's all come together very nicely. It tastes pencilly and chocolately, presumably courtesy of oak, before ripe flavours of cherry and blackberry shoulder forward ... nice bit of tannin grip... smoky, green-tinged edges .. help give the wine a good deal of personality ... Ready to drink now, and is very good buying at the price. 90 points."
