Champagne of the Czars! Russians were such avid fans of Louis Roederer that Tsar Alexander II requested a special cuvee be created and Cristal was born (packed in its distinctive clear crystal rather than ordinary glass). Blend comprises 56% Pinot Noir, 34% chardonnay, 10% pinot meunier and 10% reserve wine. Base wines matured in old oak for 2-6yrs. 3yrs on lees. Richer bolder style with long persistent finish with lip smacking delicacy. Jancis Robinson, the queen of wine is a fan and said"....I have yet to experience a bottle of Louis Roederer Brut Premier that did not taste deliciously superior.."
