Ashton Hills Sparkling Shiraz 2005

Serious pedigree here- (all fruit comes from the iconic Wendouree vineyard in Clare- 99 year old vineyard). Base wines has 3 yrs in barrel before tirage. We are thrilled with the quality of this 2005 release.

Nick Stock from Wine Business Magazine could not contain his enthusiasm “… as good as any Sparkling Shiraz ever made in this country.”

Halldiay was impressed with the 2005 release and rated it at 94 pts and said: " ....a rich fortified liquer shiraz was added to balance the tannin of the base wine. It works very well, the balancing act judged to perfection. Will continue to evolve in the bottle Drink to 2015"

It was also awarded Gold Status in the 2012 Wine Vintages book for "consistently high standards of fruit, flavour, complexity and freshness."
