100% Shiraz from the Barossa and Eden Valleys Top shelf shiraz - balanced shiraz with extraordinary depth of fruit and spice, meatiness, licquorice and a very long finish. Winemaker Pete Schell had long resisted making a single varietal wine, something which was synonymous with the Barrossa and with which most people were familiar. It was hanging over him... it was his “Bete Noir”. Glad he gave into it because this wine is superb. Needs decanting (at least 4 hours - watch how the flavours evolve!) or time on the cellar. Limited.
