Kym Teusner was crowned king by Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine as Young Winemaker of the Year in 07. He has produced extraordinary wine here!! 2009 was a terrific vintage ( long season with no adverse weather) in the Barossa- Kym likens the 09 Avatar to the 06 as it is more structured and muscular. A classic Rhone blend 55% grenache 25% shiraz 20% mataro. The grenache and mataro fruit is all sourced from low yielding dry grown 70 to 85 yr old vineyards. VERY LIMITED
