John Horgan certainly knows fine wine. After beginning his career in the west as co-owner with his brother Dennis Horgan of Leeuwin Estate, he was also a pioneer in the Pemberton region. Hard work is paying off as they were awarded Halliday’s prestigious 5 star winery rating.

2005 was a great season in WA's Pemberton producing a fine blend ( 58% cabernet sauvignon, 16% merlot, 16% malbec, 10% cabernet franc ). This red is drinking beautifully
(medium to full bodied) almost reminds me a little of bordeaux with its more-ish savoury characters
