Quinta de la Rosa and the Bergquist family have been making port since the early 19th century but since the decline of port consumption they have been making some fine red table wine…We were very impressed with this medium bodied red made from Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Franca grapes from the Upper Douro valley (nr Pinhao) . Cascading dark cherry and blackberry fruit with twist of leather, raspberry and spice. Food friendly red with persistency and more-ish savoury depth with some good acid kick on the finish! RRP $24
