Camigliano Rosso di Montalcino 2006

Camigliano is one of the earliest Montalcino producers in Tuscany. Plenty of history at this estate - their castle served as a watchtower in medieval times. Winemaker Lorenzo Laudi has improved quality of their wines since he took over. Hallmark of his wines are seriousness combined with drinkability.

"100 per cent sangiovese....savoury in style, yet still had all-round support for its complexity and balance. Otton wrote: “ This is different. Cinnamon, dark fruits and hints of orange peel. It ripples across the palate.” The developed flavours prompt suggestions of chocolate and dried herbs and the tannins, while quite dry, are even through the mouth. It’s ready now and demands red meat dishes.”
