Arlewood Estate Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

This fine producer hails from Wilyabrup in the heart of Margaret River's best Cabernet country.. Their vineyard is down the road from Cullen and across the road from Vasse Felix. 2007 was a great year and this is a stunning example of cabernet. Characterised by intense dark fruits, soy and cassis, with an earthy, savoury, structure, the wine spends 2 years in the finest French oak barriques and a further 2 years in bottle before release - a rarity these days for a winemaker to hold back their release to allow all the elements to integrate. Will open up beautifully with a some air and reward the patient up to 2030!
