Champagne House Louis Roederer were involved in this joint venture early on as they were convinced of the regions potential to make outstanding bubbles due to climatic similarities to Champagne. Padthaway Estate ( steeped in history) was the first vineyard in australia to plant champagne varieties specifically for sparkling production. They have an original champagne press to gently whole bunch press the pure free-run juice from the grapes. The Izzie is a blend of handpicked pinot noir and chardonnay grapes then aged on yeast lees. A refreshing bubbly with tropical, citrus zing, hints of french patissier and some creaminess. Fine bead and mouthfilling persistent fruit on the finish. Great quality and value here RRP $21
