Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Dividing Range in the Grampians region of Australia, Mount Langi Ghiran has been a pioneer for cool climate wines. Originally planted in 1870, it is the home of one of Australia’s finest cool climate wines the iconic Langi Shiraz. Mount Langi Ghiran is undoubtedly one of Australia’s greatest shiraz producers and consistently rated 5 Red Stars by James Halliday. Thanks to a cancelled export order we have been able to secure an extraordinary offer on three of their excellent wines.
Mount Langi Ghiran Cliff Edge Shiraz 2005 RRP $34 Special Price $18.99 This is a spectacuclar cool climate shiraz - Cliff Edge is second only to their flagship shiraz Mount Langi, 100% premium estate grown fruit which has benefited by bottle age in the winery’s cellar. Whiff of white pepper, mouthcoating dark berry fruit, licorice with wonderful balance and length. Still plenty of vibrancy and life in this fine wine.
Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Billi Shiraz 2005 RRP $21 Special Price $12.99 Wow .. I would be happy to drink this every night of the week! Do not miss out on this stunning museum release medium bodied shiraz with juicy blood plum fruit, spice and a hint of pepper. It won’t last long at this silly price. 91 points Halliday.
Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Billi Pinot Grigio 2009 RRP $21 Special Price $12.99 Mount Langi Ghiran has pioneered pinot grigio in Australia planting it first back in the early ’90s. This has the goods - zesty citrus, nashi pear and apple characters with length balanced by refreshing acidity. Can’t beat this for quality and silly value!

We were bowled over by every wine we tasted from Domaine Goisot (very rare in the wine biz!). Their biodynamic, racy whites with rich, stoney complexity speak loudly of the ancient chalky soils of the greater Chablis area. Allen Meadows (aka Burghound) the Burgundy authority says “No one but no one delivers more quality for the price than Goisot. The quality is flat out amazing..“ I agree and can’t recommend these wines highly enough…Stock is limited and sells out quickly every year!
